The in-situ chemical remediation of soil and groundwater contaminated with chlorinated hydrocarbons.
This was an historical factory spillage of solvent cleaning chemicals which contaminated the surrounding soils and underlying groudwater.
Chemicals were injected into the ground to promote the growth of the naturally occurring anaerobic microorganisms which would destroy the chlorinated hydrocarbons.
The remediation of the site was completed without interfering with the operational activities of the manufacturing facility.
