Contaminated land? We provide the best, most cost effective solution.

TRM in partnership with HMVTRS provides in-situ thermal remediation using Electrical Resistance Heating (ERH).

The ERH power control unit (PCU) controls the passage of electrical current through the soil and groundwater treatment area. The natural resistance of the subsurface to the electrical current flow creates sufficient resistive heat to convert soil moisture to steam and to evaporate the target contaminants. The vapours are collected by a soil vapour or multi-phase extraction system and treated above ground.

Thermal remediation is a rapid process and the only in-situ remediation technique capable of a thorough removal of free phase chlorinated hydrocarbons (DNAPL).

HMVTRS is a joint venture formed between HMVT, Netherlands and TRS, USA who have carried out over 130 ERH installations.
