Technologies
TRM have one of the largest offers of in-situ and ex-situ remediation techniques available in the UK. A combination of experience and expertise, our technologies comprise:
- Bioremediation | Utilisation of natural organisms to break down organic contaminants into less harmful products.
- Physical | Physical removal of both organic and inorganic contaminants from soil, water or other media of concern. The contaminants are then further treated or disposed of to an appropriate licensed facility.
- Chemical | Chemical destruction of the contaminants within the waste media converting contaminants into less harmful products.
- Thermal | Utilisation of heat to either 1) separate out volatile contaminants from media, or 2) use of heat to oxidise and destroy contaminants to form less harmful products.
- Other methods | Combined treatments using a combination of technologies to achieve remediation targets | Waste minimisation and processing | Pre-treatment of hazardous waste for landfill Waste Acceptance Criteria compliance.
